2 dozen lollipop sticks
16 oz green candy melts OR vanilla flavored almond bark with a few drops of green candy color added

24 candy lips (can be found with candy eyes) or pink or red heart sprinkles
Buttercream Frosting (recipe below)
Black food coloring gel
Piping bag
Large open star piping tip
Buttercream
1 stick softened butter
3 Tablespoons milk
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups powdered sugar
Beat butter, milk, and vanilla on medium speed until combined. Add powdered sugar and beat on medium speed for 1 minute, scraping the sides of the bowl as needed.
Line a baking sheet with wax paper and set aside.
Stick a lollipop stick through the center of each marshmallow
Melt candy according to package directions. Dip marshmallow pop in the coating, gently shaking excess candy coating off. Place on waxed paper lined baking sheet.
Before candy is set, carefully put eyes and lips into place. Let harden completely.
Fit piping bag with open star tip. Use a small brush (or a spare lollipop stick) to “paint” stripes of black food coloring gel on the inside of the piping bag
Spoon frosting into piping bag
Insert cupcake toppers into cupcakes, trimming lollipop sticks if needed. Pipe a tall stack of “hair” onto each topper
